American Medical ID also provides a free Online Medical Registry with purchase of a medical ID. Participants can maintain an online personal health record of their medical conditions, emergency contact information, prescriptions, over-the-counter medications and personal and medical files such as living wills, donor cards, EKGs and CTs. This file can be accessed anytime through a secure online connection or a 24-hour emergency telephone line.

Medical IDs are a qualified reimbursement expense for many Flexible Spending Accounts. Additionally, many health insurance providers will reimburse you for the purchase of your medical ID. American Medical ID products are being registered with the national data banks for third party reimubursement. Simply contact them directly to inquire about this. Also, visit with your doctor to receive a recommendation from him or her that you can provide to your health insurance company as proof of the medical necessity. |
