When doing this survey, I measured the bracelet, and it is about a total of 7 3/8 long, INCLUDING the toggle, even though the wrist measurement I ordered was 7 1/2. Given a wrist measurement of 7 1/2, I expected the bracelet would be slightly longer than this, for some ease, and certainly to give 1/4 or so excess for the toggle. While I could still wear it, it wasn’t very comfortable. In the last couple days, however, my wrist has started to develop a rash. I may not be able to wear it any longer.

It was not one from American Medical ID, but had the same style clasp. The chain tends to twist on this one when trying to fasten it. Also, the claw clasp is harder to open than the other one I had. Wish I had made another selection for the chain and clasp.

I made the bracelet an inch more than my wrist measurement (the woman taking my order suggested it), but I have a hard time getting the bracelet on and taking it off. I can only put it on so that the caducis is upside down. Perhaps if the bracelet were just a little bigger it would be easier. Thu Jun 16, 2011: I opted for the standard lobster clasp. I am unhappy with it, as I find it very difficult to operate. I called and was told I had to pay about 20 to have it replaced. I wrote after I called and have not received a response. Why do I have to pay an extra 3 or 4 for a decent clasp on a 90 bracelet? Why not just include a clasp that works by default? The clasp adds daily frustration, and ruins an otherwise nice item.

Thu May 10, 2012: It looked beautiful when I opened the box. After only ONE time of wearing it a few hours, it was already scratched and all I did was eat at a restaurant. I wore it loosely as a bracelet. Now I had to take links out and keep it tightly on so that the face doesn’t touch anything and get more scratches. For 56 I am really disappointed. Also, I find it so hard to fasten the clasp that I tend to want to wear it all the time which I wouldn’t do normally. I would really appreciate it if you could help me with these problems. I am a nun and I don’t really have the money to make another purchase.

I should have ordered a smaller size as this one dangles to much on my wrist but that is my fault I measured incorrectly apparently.
