Medical ID jewelry is highly personalized and custom-made. Payment is due at the time of purchase with a valid credit card or American Medical ID gift card. Purchases can be made on our secure website or over the phone at 800.363.5985.

Processing and Shipping Policy

Orders may take up to three weeks to complete as our production team carefully crafts your jewelry, based on the selections you make when you place your order. Expedited services move your order to the front of our production line to be processed in one business day. Rush processing time is three to five business days at an additional charge. Standard processing time is two to three weeks and there is no extra charge.


Our products are shipped from our Houston, Texas office via USPS and UPS. Standard Delivery Mail through the USPS takes three to seven business days, Priority mail through the USPS takes two to four business days and Express Mail through the USPS takes one to two business days and requires a signature. You can track your USPS shipment through their website: www.usps.com/track.

UPS Ground takes three to five business days and cannot be delivered to a P.O. Box. UPS Next Day is delivered the next business day except on Saturdays and Sundays, and cannot be delivered to a P.O. Box. You can track your UPS shipment through their website: www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html

Return Policy

Because your medical ID is personally engraved and cannot be re-used, we cannot accept returns on personalized items.

Non-returnable/non-refundable items:

  • Engraved items
  • USB items
  • Shipping, handling, and processing fees
  • For returns on non-personalized items, please contact our Customer Service Department at 800.363.5985 to obtain a Return Authorization number.

  • Non-personalized items must be new and unworn
  • The customer is responsible for all return shipping expenses
  • All refunds for non-personalized items will be processed within three to five weeks in the original method of payment
  • Refunds totaling $20 or under will be issued as store credit unless originating payment method was by credit card or other electronic form of payment

    For returns or exchanges of non-personalized items, please enclose your merchandise in a padded envelope with your Return Authorization number on the outside of the package and ship insured to:

    Product Warranty

    All IDs, chains, and attachments are warranted against defects in material or workmanship for 90 days from the date of purchase. Quality of engraving is warranted from one year from date of purchase. Upon receipt, please carefully inspect your purchase for errors or defects. This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear such as scratching, dents, or tarnishing of the ID, chain and attachments
  • Damage resulting from misuse, accidental handling, or exposure to corrosive substance
  • Loss of any kind
  • Repairs by anyone other than American Medical ID
  • Changes in engraving information (unless Healthcare Professional Warranty is redeemed.)
